Our Commitment

Remote-Works is committed to maintaining a professional, respectful, and inclusive platform where candidates, career specialists, employers, and all community members can collaborate effectively. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards we expect from every person who uses our platform. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal at our sole discretion.

Expected Behavior

  • Treat all members with respect, professionalism, and courtesy regardless of background
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and promptly in all platform interactions
  • Provide accurate and truthful information in profiles, applications, and submissions
  • Honor commitments, meet agreed-upon deadlines, and follow through on obligations
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information shared through the platform
  • Report concerns, violations, or suspicious activity through proper channels
  • Follow all platform guidelines, terms of service, and applicable laws
  • Respect intellectual property rights and give proper attribution
  • Use the platform for its intended purpose of professional career development

Prohibited Activities

  • Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Sharing false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information
  • Attempting to circumvent platform fees, payment systems, or escrow protections
  • Soliciting personal contact information to conduct business off-platform
  • Spamming, unsolicited advertising, or unauthorized promotional content
  • Engaging in or facilitating illegal activities of any nature
  • Creating multiple accounts, impersonating others, or manipulating ratings
  • Scraping, data mining, or automated access to platform data or systems
  • Sharing platform login credentials or accessing another user's account
  • Making false guarantees about employment, income, or platform approvals
  • Using AI tools to misrepresent qualifications or fabricate work history
  • Retaliating against users who report violations in good faith

For Agents

  • Provide only verified, legitimate opportunities
  • Clearly communicate requirements, timelines, and fees
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Maintain transparency about processes and outcomes
  • Respect candidate privacy and data rights
  • Never request fees for applications or guaranteed approvals
  • Provide constructive feedback when appropriate

For Candidates

  • Submit honest and accurate application materials
  • Follow platform guidelines and instructions
  • Communicate professionally in all interactions
  • Meet deadlines and honor commitments
  • Provide feedback on your experience when requested
  • Report suspicious activity or inappropriate behavior
  • Respect intellectual property and confidentiality

For Employers

  • Post accurate, lawful job descriptions and requirements
  • Communicate hiring timelines and expectations clearly
  • Treat all applicants fairly and without discrimination
  • Comply with local employment and labor laws
  • Respect candidate data and use it only for hiring
  • Provide timely responses to applications and inquiries
  • Honor agreed-upon compensation and contract terms

Reporting & Enforcement

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, report it immediately through our help center or by emailing support@remote-works.io. All reports are reviewed promptly and handled with confidentiality.

Enforcement actions are taken at Remote-Works' sole discretion and may include:

  • Written warning and documentation of the incident
  • Temporary suspension of account access and platform features
  • Permanent removal from the platform without refund
  • Reporting to law enforcement where required by law
  • Withholding of pending payments for confirmed policy violations

We reserve the right to terminate accounts engaging in serious misconduct without prior warning. Decisions regarding enforcement are final and not subject to appeal except as required by applicable law.
