Career Specialist & Agent Privacy

1. Agent Data We Process

As a career specialist or agent on Remote-Works, we process:

• Identity & Profile Data: Name, email, phone, professional qualifications, bio, specializations
• Verification Data: Identity verification documents, credential verification results
• Performance Data: Client reviews, ratings, response times, completion rates, success metrics
• Earnings Data: Service fees, platform commissions, payout history, tax documentation
• Client Interaction Data: Messages with clients, service delivery records, session logs
• Financial Data: Bank account or payment method details for payouts (processed by payment providers)

2. Agent Profile Visibility

Your agent profile is visible to candidates searching for career specialists. The following data may be publicly displayed:

• Professional name and profile photo
• Specializations, skills, and service offerings
• Client ratings and reviews
• Verification status and trust tier badges
• Service pricing (if publicly listed)
• Response time and availability indicators

Private information (such as earnings details, bank information, and internal performance metrics) is never displayed publicly.

3. Client Data Handling

3.1 Your Obligations

When providing services to clients through the Platform, you may access client personal data. As an independent contractor, you must:

• Use client data only for the purpose of delivering agreed-upon services
• Maintain confidentiality of all client information
• Not share, sell, or disclose client data to any third party without authorization
• Implement reasonable security measures to protect client data
• Delete or return client data upon completion of services or upon request
• Comply with all applicable privacy and data protection laws

3.2 Platform Monitoring

Remote-Works may monitor agent-client interactions to ensure compliance with our policies, investigate complaints, and maintain platform quality. This monitoring is conducted in accordance with our privacy principles and is limited to what is necessary for these purposes.

4. Earnings & Tax Data

Earnings and payout data is processed and stored for:

• Calculating and processing your payouts
• Generating tax information forms (T4A, 1099, or equivalent) as required by law
• Reporting to tax authorities as legally required
• Maintaining financial records for audit and compliance purposes

Earnings data is retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial record-keeping laws, which may extend beyond account closure.

5. Reviews & Performance Data

Client reviews and ratings are published on your agent profile and affect your platform visibility. You should be aware that:

• Published reviews remain visible even after the reviewing client deletes their account
• You may report reviews that you believe are fraudulent or in violation of our policies
• Aggregate performance metrics may be used to determine eligibility for platform features
• We do not disclose the identity of reviewers to agents except as required by law

6. Agent Data Rights

Agents have the same data rights as all platform users (access, correction, deletion, portability). Note that deletion requests may be limited by legal requirements to retain earnings, tax, and financial data.
