1. Platform Intellectual Property
All content, features, functionality, software, designs, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, and materials on the Platform are owned exclusively by Remote-Works or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, publicly perform, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or exploit any Platform content, software, or materials without our express written permission.
2. User-Generated Content
2.1 Your Content
"User Content" includes all text, data, images, files, profiles, resumes, portfolios, work samples, reviews, messages, and other materials you upload, submit, or create on the Platform. You retain ownership of your original User Content.
2.2 License Grant
By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant Remote-Works a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, publicly display, and create derivative works of such content for:
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the Platform
- Providing services to other users (such as displaying your profile to employers)
- Marketing and promoting the Platform
- Developing and improving AI and matching features
- Aggregated analytics and reporting (in anonymized form)
2.3 Content Representations
By submitting User Content, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to submit such content, that it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and that it does not violate any applicable law.
3. Content Moderation
3.1 Right to Remove
Remote-Works reserves the right, but has no obligation, to review, monitor, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Content that violates these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
- Content that is fraudulent, misleading, or inaccurate
- Content that infringes intellectual property rights
- Content that is offensive, harmful, or inappropriate
- Content flagged by automated systems or user reports
3.2 No Liability for Content
Remote-Works is not liable for any User Content posted on the Platform. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of any User Content, including profiles, reviews, job postings, and portfolio materials.
4. Copyright & DMCA
4.1 Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to our designated agent with:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Platform
- Your contact information (name, address, email, phone)
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
- Your physical or electronic signature
4.2 Counter-Notice
If your content was removed due to a copyright notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice with the required legal declarations.

5. Third-Party Trademarks
All trademarks, service marks, company names, and logos referenced on the Platform are the property of their respective owners. Their use on the Platform does not imply endorsement, affiliation, sponsorship, or recommendation by Remote-Works or by the trademark owner. References to third-party platforms (including but not limited to Outlier, Alignerr, OneForma, and others) are for informational purposes only.
6. Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or improvements you provide regarding the Platform ("Feedback") shall be the sole property of Remote-Works. You assign all rights in Feedback to Remote-Works and we may use Feedback for any purpose without obligation, compensation, or attribution to you.
