Terms governing the verified marketplace, job postings, talent discovery, and platform services.

1. Verified Marketplace

1.1 Marketplace Description

The Remote-Works Verified Marketplace is a platform feature that enables verified professionals to showcase their skills, portfolios, and proof-of-work credentials to potential employers and clients. The Marketplace facilitates discovery and connection — it does not guarantee engagement, hiring, or income.

1.2 Verification Status

Verification badges and trust tiers (including but not limited to Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels) indicate that a user has completed certain verification steps. Verification does NOT constitute an endorsement, guarantee of quality, recommendation, or certification of competence by Remote-Works. Employers are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence.

1.3 Marketplace Listings

By listing your profile on the Marketplace, you consent to your verified professional information being visible to registered employers and other authorized users. Remote-Works reserves the right to remove, modify, or restrict any listing at its sole discretion.

1.4 No Guarantee of Visibility or Matching

Remote-Works does not guarantee that your profile will be viewed, matched, or recommended to any employer or client. Marketplace algorithms and ranking are determined at our sole discretion and may change at any time without notice.

2. Job Postings & Opportunities

2.1 Job Listing Accuracy

Remote-Works does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, legitimacy, or completeness of any job postings, project listings, or opportunity descriptions posted by employers. All job-related decisions are made solely by the posting employer.

2.2 Application Process

When you apply to a job or project through the Platform, you are submitting your application directly to the employer or project owner. Remote-Works does not review, screen, or make decisions regarding applications unless explicitly stated. We are not responsible for employer response times, decisions, or lack thereof.

2.3 Employer Compliance

Employers are solely responsible for ensuring their job postings comply with all applicable employment laws, including anti-discrimination laws, minimum wage requirements, and labor regulations in their jurisdiction. Remote-Works is not liable for any unlawful content in job postings or discriminatory hiring practices.

3. Project & Talent Matching

Remote-Works may offer matching features that suggest candidates to employers or opportunities to candidates based on profile data, skills, and other factors. These suggestions are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute recommendations, endorsements, or guarantees of fit.

Any automations or matching algorithms on the Platform implement criteria in a rote, algorithmic way. Remote-Works does not make hiring decisions, and employers are responsible for ensuring their criteria are job-related, lawful, and consistent with business necessity.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any matching or recommendation features at any time without notice.

4. Proof-of-Work & Portfolio Services

The Proof-of-Work system provides cryptographic verification of certain work artifacts (such as GitHub commits and HuggingFace contributions). While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any proof-of-work verification.

Portfolio reviews and assessments conducted on the Platform are provided by independent reviewers or automated systems and represent opinions or algorithmic outputs, not certified evaluations. Users and employers should conduct their own independent assessment.

5. Compliance & Professional Tools

Remote-Works offers compliance tools, contract templates, tax documentation resources, and other professional tools as informational aids. These tools do NOT constitute legal, tax, financial, or professional advice.You should consult qualified professionals for specific legal, tax, or compliance matters.

We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or outdated information in any templates, tools, or generated documents. You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Rating Lab & Assessments

The Rating Lab provides testing, assessment, and data annotation services. Participation in the Rating Lab is voluntary and subject to additional guidelines. Results, ratings, and scores are generated through automated systems or peer review and are provided as-is.

Remote-Works does not guarantee the accuracy of assessment results or that they will be accepted by any third party. Assessment data may be used in aggregate and anonymized form for platform improvement.

7. Service Availability & Modifications

Remote-Works may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any Platform feature or service at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to any service.

Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure changes, security updates, or force majeure events may temporarily affect service availability. We shall not be liable for any losses arising from service interruptions.
